Part-Time Microschooling: How Flexible Support Can Work for Your Family

Homeschooling offers freedom—but sometimes, that freedom comes with a lot of pressure. You want to give your child the best, but managing everything—lesson planning, consistency, socialization, and emotional support—can be overwhelming. That’s where part-time microschooling comes in.

At Wildwood Academy, we offer part-time options that blend the best of homeschooling with the structure and community of a small, nurturing learning environment. It’s homeschooling support without the burnout.

🌿 What Is Part-Time Microschooling?

Part-time microschooling means your child attends a small, private learning program a few days per week while still being registered as a homeschooler. At Wildwood Academy, we offer 2-day and 3-day programs that are developmentally aligned, Waldorf-inspired, and completely screen-free.

Families maintain full control of their homeschool status, but gain:

  • Consistent learning rhythms

  • Hands-on academic and artistic instruction

  • Social experiences with a small peer group

  • A break in the week to rest, work, or recharge

🧠 Why Part-Time Works

Flexibility is the key to thriving in today’s world. Whether you’re working part-time, managing multiple kids, or simply wanting to outsource part of your homeschool day, part-time microschooling gives your family breathing room while enriching your child’s experience.

It’s also ideal for:

✔️ New homeschoolers who aren’t sure where to begin
✔️ Families who want rhythm and community without full-time school
✔️ Children who need more time in nature, art, and connection
✔️ Parents who want help with core academics but still guide their child’s learning

🎒 What a Part-Time Week Looks Like at Wildwood

Here’s a sample schedule for a 2-day student at Wildwood Academy:

  • Morning circle & seasonal verse

  • Main lesson block (story-based, integrated learning in science, history, or math)

  • Handwork or nature project

  • Outdoor play & exploration

  • Closing story or journaling

Each day is rich in rhythm and designed to support the whole child—head, heart, and hands.

✨ Full-Time Learning, Part-Time Enrollment

Our part-time students are fully part of the community. Whether your child is here 2 days or 5, they’re included in projects, nature walks, seasonal celebrations, and relationships that matter.
